Heritage Land Investments is a land investment and investment management company based in Atlanta, GA. The company was founded in 2006 by Christopher D. Hurd. Hurd manages and executes all aspects of the firm’s investments.
Hurd leads Heritage utilizing 11 years of experience in land acquisition and asset management roles for both public companies and private investors. His public company experience includes roles with the St. Joe Company (NYSE: JOE), where he managed a portfolio of higher and better use timberland assets, as well as commercial land assets. St. Joe is Florida’s largest private land owner, and during Hurd’s tenure, held nearly 1 million acres. Hurd also served with Taylor Woodrow (LSE: TWOD) where he directed regional land acquisition efforts. Taylor Woodrow is engaged in the development of luxury master-planned residential communities throughout North America and Europe.
Hurd earned a B.S. in Economics, with honors, from the Florida State University, and is currently a candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
